ground floor lounge

The ground floor is a beautiful open-plan space, with a private entrance to the street, and access to the internal yard through south-facing french doors.

​

From the front door into the vestibule, step up past the etched glass screen into the main lounge.  This space is arranged around a central core structure with sweeping oak staircase and stunning hand-forged balustrading.

​

There is a fully-fitted kitchen with fridge, hob, oven and washing machine. A radial slate breakfast bar seats up to four, and a large dual curved sofa with coffee table offers comfort to relax.

A glazed door off from the kitchen area leads to the gloriously light and beautiful garden room, with stained-glass wall to one end, and separate access via french doors to the private yard.

 

Special glazing to the roof provides u-v protection, with heating provided by efficient modern radiators. Ideal as a relaxing dining, reading and writing space, this room can also be used as a music room.

​

A baby-grand piano is provided, along with a round dining table which seats up to four, plus a soft area with two armchairs and coffee table.  An open fire can also be enjoyed.

upper floor studio

On the upper floor, the south-facing glazed wall of the ground floor lounge extends upwards through the studio to an apex, capturing maximum natural light to flood this beautiful contemporary space.

​

Further hand-forged balustrading around the central stairwell is complemented by the uniqueness of that surrounding the balcony, accessed via french doors.

​

Also suitable for gallery use, this space is ideal for drawing, painting or writing, or for holding small workshops. Ample storage, artists easels, a computer table and sofabed are all provided.

Also to the upper floor is a private room which is ideal for use as a private consulting space, a quiet, meditative space or for writing and reading.

​

Furnished with a sofabed, it can also be transformed into a double bedroom for short-term stays, and has north-facing views across to the beautiful village church on the hill.

​

In addition, to the upper floor is a fully fitted bathroom with WC, and which includes a beautiful claw-foot bathtub for long soaks after a long day, or hand-held shower for that quick hose-down.
